Basic Steps To Contemplation

I’ve heard most people ask how do contemplation be possible. If that mystical experience be a personal, or mystical beatific hallucinations and its imperial findings may sound very superfluous. My main contention would be a personal journey of a soul towards his or her Creator that even Augustine confessed: “Lord, you made us for Yourself O Lord, and my soul is restless until I rest in You” (Confessions, 379 ACE). And spiritual mystics then and now, and even in my journals I was able to see these patterns as well.

1. Posture

In any preferable way I ask anyone who follow a good prayerful lifestyle to find their most comfortable posture of meditative or even in contemplative prayer position; scriptures would suggest that we need to prostrate in homage before God (cf., Deut 9:25), and very clearly it was written that every knew shall bend on the heavens, and on the earth and under the earth (Phil. 2:10) but all of humbling postures reflects the consistency of straightening of the vertebrates and can ease their breathing and blood flow the normal circulation of blood all around their bodies it would be great way to pray.

2. Quieting

Here in this phase, any prayerful souls need to shut down or quiet down their wakeful conscious mind, heart and soul the thinking processes we normally facilitate when we are awake. There is fire… there is earthquake… and God is not there; Silence comes, Elijah cover his face, for God is there (cf., 1Kings 19:11-13). In this segment, I have few suggestions to assist participants they are as follows:

A. Audio Therapy — by listening to the farthest sound participants can hear and nail their entire attention to such sound, until they feel very calm; they may also use binary bits like the 432hz or 963hz for example.

B. Aroma Therapy — participants can light scented candles or burn sweet smelling smiling incense that reminds them of some familiar past memories.

C. Mantra – the vocal therapy — participants can use verbalization or vocalization of a very short prayer it could be any favorite Bible verse/s that will quiet down the soul, for starters, I ask them to slowly but constantly repeat, for instance: “JESUS SON OF DAVID, HAVE MERCY ON ME A SINNER.” (Luke 18:38) or the Buddhist’s devotion to the Lotus Sutra; the “NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO.”

3. Delta

This state if the mind is higher than sleep. It is the actual lifting of the worshiping and praying soul to the divine presence of God (cf., CCC#2559). In fact this is very first stage of meditation where participants can hear their own heart beat, or even feel the circulation of their blood. In such a clan state their minds open themselves to something deep or something beyond their voluntary reflexes.

Here, the body is totally calm and at rest just like hibernating or fast asleep; however, participants are fully aware as they know very sharply that they are wide awake. In this stage, they are to vibrate or stay focus on their hearts and how do they feel, they have to be authentic about n their feelings as they anchor to these deeper emotions of: Gratitude, Love and Joy upon which authentic healing comes along!

4. Shadow Work

Other spiritual mystics might suggest other form of esoteric metaphysical rituals, but in what I have uncovered, healing comes from within and not from the format or incantation coming from the outside. Hence, I prefer to accommodate my self-taught patterns by just using the nature of my own spiritual energies to heal my spiritual wounds, of course with the grace of God, allows the healing of a soul. I coined to call this phenomena as ‘energy cleansing‘. Again, with Joy Gratitude and Love, I ask participants to go back or purposely return to the same actual scene of their lives that they have been hurt so badly, instead of running away from it.

They have to face it with calmness, humility and love!

And forgive the following instead: their very own selves, the people who have hurt them and the situation/s that accommodate the hurting that are now struggling to move on. For those who have been doing this a few times, they can go even further — go over with their past lives or other reincarnations if they believe these things to be true, even before this lifetime, if they can. I also teach this to higher level students.

5. Inner Child

Here in this phase I ask participants to find their center, your core of their being upon which rests in the recesses of their very own hearts!

Here again I coiled another terms as the “healing chakra“. Most oriental masters and guru called this as the heart chakra, or simply the Heart (cf., CCC#2517) to feel the authentic self-less love. Christians called it Agape — here participants have to embrace and relish its warmth enveloped them.

They are to find their authentic selves, the one that hides their power, the one that carries the gem of your truest value he/she never grows old. That Inner-Child — unless we become this little ones we cannot enter the kingdom of God (Matt. 18:3) in our heart, whom you never talked to since the day we considered ourselves adults. Talk to him/her right that very moment, right now. If you’re doing it now, embrace her/him, love him/her, and ask for forgiveness for the many times we have avoided him/her.

Finally, be united with her/him, she/he is actually in the God hearts. In the Psalms it is said that we are made and formed by God long before we are born (Ps 139:13). He/she is the ‘divine self’ – a fragment of God divine nature wherein all of us are created in God’s image and likeness (Gen 1:27f). He/she is waiting for us!

6. Journaling

This simply suggest a spiritual diary. In gratitude and Love, I ask participants to record by pouring out their hearts of all its spiritual insights — this means writing anything and everything in whatever format or form of writing they prefer.

They are to write down to a special sacred notes, I use to call as the spiritual diary or simply ‘Journal’. This is their sacred spiritual notes that accounts their journey. If they may have discovered along the way the sacred gift of prophecy, preaching, teaching, and/or healing, they might as well be one of us who can find a disciple or someone to hand over these spiritual truths!
